02 — ISRI PS-2013
Corrugated, office and mixed grades collected across North America, baled and loaded in containers. Every offer carries the ISRI grade number, the prohibitive material limit and the combined outthrows-plus-prohibitives limit.
Grades
The two right-hand columns are the ISRI PS-2013 limits for the grade. Tighter limits can be agreed in writing before booking.

Reading the table
Most disputes at the discharge port come from treating these as one number. They are separate tests and both are stated on our offers.
Paper that is unsuitable for the grade as it is packed — the wrong stock in the right bale. It reduces the yield of the lot but does not stop the mill running it.
Anything that risks damaging equipment, or that makes the packed lot unusable as the grade. This is the tighter of the two limits, and the one that causes a lot to be rejected outright.
The same material can be an outthrow in one grade and a prohibitive in another — which is why the grade number, not the description, is what gets contracted.
